Trip at a Glance

Min Age

The Monroe Bridge trip is full of big waves and fast whitewater rafting action! The fun starts right below the Monroe Bridge dam with Class II warm-up rapids and then leads to a stretch of bigger Class III drops such as “Devil’s Odds” and “Landslide”. Along the way our expert white water rafting guides take time to play and work the river in a surfing hole or two. Half-way through the trip we take a short break for a delicious snack.

Each rapid gets more exciting as the trip builds toward the final and most difficult rapids of the day, “Dragons Tooth” and “The Terminator”. These Massachusetts White Water rapids require precise maneuvering by your guide and strong paddling by each rafter. Good runs through these Class IV rapids climax an awesome day of whitewater action in the Berkshires.

Includes: Pre-trip safety instruction, professional guide, PFD and helmet, transportation to and from river, cookout at base after trip (steak, chicken, fish or veg. option w/homemade salads and dessert), photo presentation of your adventure.

Complete Your Massachusetts Crab Apple Experience

Why Choose Crab Apple For Massachusetts White Water Rafting?

We Are Family Owned and Operated same as Maine

We are a three-generation family-owned company and we love what we do! Since our inception in 1983, our family has been imbedded in every aspect of our business. We are the reservation takers, the guides, the guide trainers, and the customer service specialists. Every detail of our business is infused with our fun vibe and family-oriented atmosphere. As a result, we have grown exponentially and we are proud to have the largest New England white water rafting operation.

Excellent Riverside Facility

Our Massachusetts base camp sits along the beautiful Deerfield River. Cookouts after trips on the outdoor patio above the river are delightful. Two of our trips float right to our base so there is no shuttle ride after rafting! Our base includes a fun souvenir shop, a comfortable space to watch photos of your rafting trip, a beer and wine liquor license, comfortable changing and restroom facilities.

We Value Your Safety and Comfort

As much as we love having fun, we always keep your safety a priority. We have over 100 rafts and inflatable kayaks of different sizes to ensure the best experience on the river. Our stock of over 400 wetsuits and lifejackets are continuously upgraded and come in a vast array of sizes to fit you comfortably and keep you safe.
