Whitewater Rafting Splash Fights: Designated Places for Water Fights while Whitewater Rafting

You may have heard the rumor that on some of our whitewater rafting excursions our rafters participate in splash fights with the people on the other rafts. Just to set the record straight, this is true—and yes, they can be as fun as they sound!

What Sets CA Apart

So we can just splash anyone we want through the entire whitewater rafting trip?

Not exactly. While some whitewater rafting companies allow free-for-all splash fights, we believe there is a time and place for them. That time is after lunch (the sun is the hottest) and that place is in a mild section of the river. We have found that one set of battles is enough to bring out the kid in everyone, while still leaving plenty of time to enjoy the scenery and serenity that whitewater rafting can bring.

What if things get out of control?

Again, our main goal is for you to have fun while staying safe. For this reason, our whitewater rafting guides always oversee the splash fights. Additionally, we have guidelines to follow, like no using your paddle to splash – we don’t need any injuries & that’s just asking for trouble.

I really hate getting splashed. Do I have to participate?

Of course not! Our whitewater rafting excursions are meant to be safe, exciting & enjoyable, and we don’t want you to be miserable for one second. That’s why we give you the choice. If you would prefer to travel aboard one of our peace boats, as we like to call them, then not even a single human-induced splash will come your way. But we can’t guarantee the river won’t splash you!
