Boy & Girl Scout Troops Whitewater Rafting Trips in Maine

Crab Apple Whitewater host’s hundreds of Boy & Girl Scouts every year on whitewater rafting trips. These trips always remind us of why we started whitewater rafting in the first place: to share our love and passion for the outdoors. Whitewater rafting teaches respect for Mother Nature, builds confidence and brings scouts outside of their comfort zone.

Kennebac River, Maine

While many Scouts raft in Massachusetts, our most popular whitewater rafting trip is the Kennebec River in The Forks, Maine. It’s a twelve mile trip that features large rolling waves and holes that provide a thrilling white water rush. Calm sections allow for swimming and water fights. Whitewater rafting is a great confidence builder for scouts as they rely on each other to safely navigate the whitewater. Team building is a focus of the white water guides and the girls are encouraged to work together. Many Girl Scout troops choose to come back year after year.
